Hotel Los Arcos is a solidarity hotel and from hotel arcs promote responsible tourism.

What does this mean?

We are a caring hotel because Hotel Los Arcos belongs to United Families Foundation. And United Families has been working for the integral and sustainable development of Esteli and rural communities since September 1997.

Belonging to United Families all our profits are invested in development projects that improve the conditions of our community, from the point of social, economic, and environmental and therefore promote responsible tourism.

With income earned in this hotel and its restaurant, United Families finances one of its sectors of activity, the training and free time. Finance sports: football, baseball, judo, volleyball and various performances dedicated to a healthy use of free time of children and young of Estelí.

We finance the Cooperative “Health for All” that among its projects offer consultation services in general medicine and nursing both in the city of Esteli and nearly 20 rural communities in which we work, and workshops and educational talks for health prevention.

And fund 7500 lots of school materials for primary and secondary students who distributes the Cooperative for Education (COPAED) in two annual instalments.

In addition we encourage the sustainable use of resources by promoting responsible for the same, reducing waste by choosing products with less packaging or those that will have longer duration in the case of appliances for example, and education and awareness development sustainable and recycling participating in the project “Estelí Cleaner” of United Families and CODEAGRO RL

Definitely, we are creating benefits for local people and contribute to social welfare and health and educational improvement of Esteli.

OUR MISSION

The mission of this Hotel School is to link tourism production to the development. On the one hand as a source of income to support other development projects and by the other, reinforcing and improving educational skills in order to form good professionals, capable of generating progress and development in their future work activities.

To offer our customers a hosting and food service safe, convenient and comfortable, develop good social practices, economic and environmental in order to become the hotel reference in Esteli .

OUR OBJECTIVES

To consolidate the training center as a resource where young people of Esteli can get a professional training in the fields of hotels and restaurants.

To contribute to economic progress in Esteli.

To generate the necessary revenues to fund projects of: Sport, School Supplies, and the Health Center of United Families in Esteli.

Reducing our environmental impacts through the following measures: Luminaires LED and low consumption, partial discharge of water in the toilet, flow restrictors with atomizers in taps, and posters cleaning white in rooms, for water and energy; purchases from local suppliers bulk avoiding excessive packaging; installation of solar panels that contribute to the lighting of public areas and installing shampoo dispensers in the bathrooms of the rooms avoiding individual packages.
